Dallas-Fort Worth area high school girls basketball player of the week from DeSoto

DeSoto’s Amina Muhammad was voted the latest DFW girls basketball player of the week.

Muhammad got 60% of the votes. Muhammad helped the Eagles beat Duncanville and SGP to reach the Class 6A state championship game.

Bishop Lynch’s Maddie Cockrell came in second place with 28%

Frisco Liberty’s Jazzy Owens-Barnett came in third.
