Dallas-Fort Worth high school softball player of the week in Week 2 from Eaton

Eaton junior outfielder and Northwestern State commit Vivica Hernandez was voted the latest DFW high school softball player of the week.

Hernandez (50%), last year’s district co-newcomer of the year, batted 13 of 18 during the week for a 0.722 batting average. She hit three home runs, six doubles and recorded 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored for the Lady Eagles.

Wakeland’s Lily Acuna came in second with 28% after going 16 of 20 with 10 stolen bases, 5 RBIs and 9 runs scored.

Aubrey’s Laney Roos (LSU commit) came third with a 0.826 average, 4 homers, 9 doubles and 14 RBIs.
