DFW basketball winners for Week 17 from Frisco Legacy, Mansfield Timberview

Frisco Legacy’s Jonathan Alexandre, the Frisco Legacy Eagles, Timberview’s Stephanie Mosley and the Timberview Lady Wolves were voted the latest DFW high school boys and girls basketball players and teams of the week.

Alexandre was voted boys player of the week after scoring 25 points in the TAPPS 5A state title game.

Legacy, boys team of the week, won the title for the second straight season.

Mosley was voted girls player of the week after sinking the game winner at the buzzer over No. 1 Amarillo.

Timberview, girls team of the week, beat the Lady Sandies to clinch a spot in the state tourney for the third time in four years.
