Class 6A

REGION I

Regional Semifinals

4 Arlington Martin (35-4) vs. 1 Duncanville (36-3), 6 p.m. Friday, Wilkerson-Greines AC, Fort Worth

Wolfforth Frenship (30-5) vs. 13 Cedar Hill (30-9), 8 p.m. Friday, Wilkerson-Greines AC, Fort Worth

Regional Final

1 p.m. Saturday, Wilkerson-Greines AC, Fort Worth

MARTIN: The Warriors defeated Euless Trinity, EP Montwood and LD Bell to reach the regional tournament for the first time. Winners of 14 straight games. Defense allowing 35 points per game.

DUNCANVILLE: The Pantherettes, who beat No. 2 DeSoto in the quarters, are 10-time UIL state champions. Making regional for the 10th time in the past 13 seasons. Averaging 76.5 points per game. Last loss came in November.

FRENSHIP: The Tigers reach regional for the second time in three seasons. A win in the semis and it’s their first berth into the regional final since 2004.

CEDAR HILL: The Longhorns took down SGP in the quarterfinals to clinch a berth into the regional tournament for the first time since 2010. Allowing 38 points per game.

REGION II

McKinney (20-12) vs. Pflugerville Hendrickson (28-11), 6 p.m. Friday, Davis FH, Dallas

6 Plano (32-4) vs. 19 Cedar Park Vista Ridge (30-6), 8 p.m. Friday, Davis FH, Dallas

Regional Final

2 p.m. Saturday, Davis FH, Dallas

MCKINNEY: The Lionettes are going to the regional tournament for the first time since playing at state in 1998. Upset Harker Heights in the quarters. Tied for fourth fewest wins in the state among teams still playing.

HENDRICKSON: The Hawks are regional bound for the third straight season. Owns a 70-67 win over Vista Ridge in January.

PLANO: The Wildcats are looking to win their second UIL Class 6A state championship in three seasons. 13 game winning streak.

VISTA RIDGE: Seven trips to regional in the past decade for the Rangers. Trip to state in 2015 and 2016. Winners off 11 straight and averaging 63 points per game.

Class 5A

1 Amarillo (34-2) vs. Lake Dallas (27-8), 4 p.m. Friday, Western Texas College, Snyder

Wichita Falls Rider (30-4) vs. 5 Mansfield Timberview (29-8), 6 p.m. Friday, Western Texas College, Snyder

2 p.m. Saturday, Western Texas College, Snyder

AMARILLO: Two-time defending 5A state champions. The Sandies are going to regional for the sixth straight season. Losses to 6A Allen and Atascocita in December. Winning games by nearly 30 points.

LAKE DALLAS: The Falcons defeated Boswell in the quarterfinals to clinch a spot at regional for the first time. Hadn’t won a playoff game since 2008 prior to this month.

RIDER: Upset Lubbock Monterey in the quarterfinals by one point. First trip to regional since going back-to-back in 2015 and 2016.

TIMBERVIEW: Fifth straight season to regional with state runner-up finishes in 2017 and 2018. Last loss came against SGP in December. Winners of 15 straight.

REGION II

Frisco Lone Star (23-9) vs. Midlothian (24-13), 6 p.m. Friday, Culwell Center, Garland

25 Frisco Liberty (28-11) vs. 3 Red Oak (29-6), 7:30 p.m. Friday, Culwell Center, Garland

Regional Final

1 p.m. Saturday, Culwell Center, Garland

LONE STAR: Third straight season to the regional tournament for the Rangers. Winners of 9 straight games. Allowing 38 points per game.

MIDLOTHIAN: The Panthers knocked off No. 13 Jacksonville in the quarters to reach regional for the first time in at least 20 years.

LIBERTY: The Redhawks are at regional for the fifth straight season and seventh in eight years. State runner-up in 2016 and 2019.

RED OAK: The Hawks are at the regional tournament for the second straight year. 13 straight wins. Allowing 37 points per game.

Class 4A

REGION I

Regional Semifinals

1 Canyon (31-1) vs. 5 Argyle (30-6), 5 p.m. Friday, Lubbock Christian University

14 Hereford (24-8) vs. 13 Bridgeport (27-6), 6:30 p.m. Friday, Lubbock Christian University

Regional Final

2 p.m. Saturday, Lubbock Christian University

CANYON: The Eagles are 19-time state champs and have been to the regional tourney in 14 consecutive seasons. Only loss came against 6A Guyer, 56-51, in mid November. Allowing 28 points per game.

ARGYLE: The Eagles are going for their sixth straight UIL state championship. Allowing 37 points per game. Defeated Canyon in the regional semis last season, 48-31.

HEREFORD: First trip to the regional tournament since 2003.

BRIDGEPORT: Second straight year to regional for the Sissies.

REGION II

16 Dallas Lincoln (24-8) vs. 23 Texarkana Pleasant Grove (28-4), 6 p.m. Friday, Texas A&M University-Commerce

Melissa (24-12) vs. 17 Brownsboro (32-6), 8 p.m. Friday, Texas A&M University-Commerce

2 p.m. Saturday, Texas A&M University-Commerce

LINCOLN: Winners of seven straight including last three in the playoffs by 23, 50 and 15 points. State semifinalist last season.

PG: 11 game winning streak for the Hawks, who are two wins away from their first trip to state.

MELISSA: The Cardinals are also two wins away from their first trip to the state tourney.

BROWNSBORO: The Bears are winning games by nearly 20 points. Winners of 12 straight. First trip the regional tourney since going to state in 2006.

Class 3A

IDALOU: Spot at regional for seventh time since 2010.

BROCK: The Eagles are eight-time state champs. Regional tournament for fifth straight season and 26th time in the past 30 years.

SHALLOWATER: First trip to the regional tourney since 2015 when the Fillies went to the state championship game.

JIM NED: Second straight year to regional for the Indians and sixth trip since 2012.
