DFW high school basketball players of the week in Week 14 from Granbury and Martin

Granbury’s Mikey Withey and Arlington Martin’s Mariah Roberts were voted the latest DFW high school boys and girls basketball players of the week.

Withey was voted boys player of the week after posting a double-double in a win vs. Crowley. He also hit the game-winning shot at the buzzer.

Withey received 2,719 votes (45%) while beating out Colleyville Covenant’s Graham Stiefel (2,155) who averaged 33.5 points in two wins for the Cougars.

Arlington Seguin’s Brandon Monroe came in third place after scoring a career-high 47 points in the win vs. Burleson.

Roberts was voted girls player of the week after scoring a game-high 27 points against North Crowley. Martin is the champ out of District 4-6A and No. 4 in the state with a 32-4 record.

Roberts received 56% of the votes, beating out Mansfield’s Zarria Carter (42%) who scored 31 points against Waxahachie.
