DFW high school basketball winners in Week 13 from Braswell, Lake Ridge, LD Bell, Keller
Braswell’s MJ Leslie, the Lake Ridge Eagles, LD Bell’s Kyla Davis and the Keller Lady Indians were voted the latest DFW high school boys and girls basketball players and teams of the week.
Leslie, boys player of the week, knocked down his 400th career 3-pointer, becoming 1 of 10 high school players in the state to reach the mark. Lake Ridge, boys team of the week, defeated state-ranked DeSoto to earn its first district win of the season.
Davis, girls player of the week, averaged 17 points in two games and scored her 1,000 point of her career. Keller, girls team of the week, defeated No. 6 Denton Guyer to clinch a playoff berth and force a tie atop the 5-6A standings.
