DFW high school basketball winners in Week 11 from St. Mark’s, Crowley, Southwest Christian, Burleson

St. Mark’s Colin Smith, the Crowley Eagles, Southwest Christian’s Arieona Rosborough and the Burleson Lady Elks were voted the latest DFW basketball boys and girls basketball players and teams of the week.

Smith, a 4-star forward and the No. 7 prospect in the state according to 247Sports, was voted boys basketball player of the week after he averaged 30.5 points as the Lions went 2-0. Smith dropped a game-high 40 points vs. Fort Worth Trinity Valley.

The Eagles were voted boys basketball team of the week after they went 2-0 and moved up to No. 14 in the 5A state rankings after beating state-ranked Burleson Centennial and the defending champ Mansfield Timberview to claim a spot atop the district standings.

Rosborough was voted girls basketball player of the week after averaging 29 points and 21 rebounds as the Lady Eagles went 2-0. She recorded a triple double along with a school-record 14 steals vs. Grapevine Faith.

The Lady Elks were voted girls basketball team of the week after going 2-0 against district rival Burleson Centennial and Everman and leaping into fourth place in the district standings.
