DFW high school boys and girls basketball winners in Week 8 from Richardson, Lancaster, Liberty Christian, Timber Creek

Richardson’s Rylan Griffen, the Lancaster boys, Argyle Liberty Christian’s Jadyn Fife and the Timber Creek girls are the latest DFW high school basketball players and teams of the week.

Griffen scored 36 points in the championship game of The Colony Cougar Classic vs. Irving MacArthur. The boys player of the week received 43% of the voting.

North Crowley’s Jacari Chambers came in second with 32% after winning MVP honors at the Fort Worth ISD Classic.

Burleson Centennial’s Tayton Conerway came in third with 19% after his monster game vs. Grapevine at the MT Rice tourney.

Lancaster was voted boys team of the week after the Tigers, No. 1 in 5A, won the Dallas ISD Invitational over Dallas Lincoln.

The Tigers received 40% of the votes while North Crowley came in second with 30%.

Fife was voted girls player of the week after winning MVP honors for the Whataburger Blue tourney.

Timber Creek was voted girls team of the week after the Falcons beat Waco Midway to win the MT Rice tourney.

The Falcons received 66% of the votes while LD Bell came in second with 29%.
