A Kyler Murray autographed helmet was just auctioned off for how much?

Kyler Murray, who won the 2018 Heisman with Oklahoma, is giving back to the Allen football program where he helped win three UIL state titles.

His first autograph as a member of the Arizona Cardinals, who drafted Murray with the No. 1 overall pick, landed on a helmet provided by the NFL Auction. The proceeds went back to Allen where Murray graduated from in 2014.

Murray’s helmet went for $3,450.

Is that high or low?

The Cowboys’ first-round pick in 2018, Leighton Vander Esch’s draft helmet was the highest bid last year at $2,030 and the last Tom Brady signed helmet auctioned off for $1,250.

For the second year, all players that were present and selected in the first round of this year’s NFL Draft signed their first official autograph on their new team’s helmet just moments after being drafted.

The helmets were then placed on the NFL’s charitable auction site NFL.com/auction and 100 percent of the money raised from the auction is donated to the player’s high school football program.

Each prospect who attends the draft is also eligible to apply for a $2,500 grant from the NFL Foundation for their high school football program.
