Local 4-star prospect flips commitment from Oklahoma to Alabama
Denton Ryan’s 4-star two-way athlete Drew Sanders announced he’s flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to Alabama on Monday via Twitter. He also says that his recruitment is 100 percent done.
Sanders had been committed to Oklahoma since November 2017. He holds 20 offers from Notre Dame, LSU, Georgia, Texas, TCU, A&M and more.
The 2020 standout is ranked as the No. 3 ATH in the nation and No. 4 overall player in Texas, per 247Sports. He’s also ranked as the No. 34 overall prospect in the nation.
Sanders was voted district co-MVP last season. He was first-team all-district in 2017 with Colleyville Heritage and second team in 2016 with Lake Dallas.
He recorded 119 tackles, 10 for loss, eight sacks, three INTs, two defensive TDs and added 16 TDs on offense last season for the Raiders, who went 14-1 and reached the state semifinals.
