The winner of the latest Dallas-Fort Worth softball player of the week for games April 15-20, 2019 goes to Boswell hitter Byrdie Skipper!

Skipper helped the Pioneers complete an undefeated district season with the 7-5A championship after she went 5 for 7 with 2 doubles and 6 RBI in 2 games. In a 3-2 win vs. Azle on April 16, she tied the game at 2 with a 2-run double then followed it up with the game-winning RBI single in the 6th.

She beat out Cleburne hitter Abby Horn. The Northeast Texas CC signee finished off her high school career by going 7 for 8 with 3 home runs and 10 RBI in her final two games vs. Red Oak and Waco University.

Arlington Martin’s Jadyn James came in third place with 3 home runs and 7 RBI in 2 games for the district champion Warriors.
