Southlake Carroll guard wins player of the week after dropping 42 on Arlington Martin
Maybe it was the Thanksgiving feast Brandon Haddock ate because the Southlake Carroll senior guard couldn’t be stopped over the weekend, scoring 27 and 42 points in games over Dallas Spruce and Arlington Martin.
Haddock added seven rebounds vs. Martin and has been named Boys Basketball player of the week.
The Dragons are off to a nice start his season, winning five of their first eight games. They beat Spruce 82-44 on Friday and Martin 72-56 on Saturday during the Spring Creek Thanksgiving Classic.
Haddock is averaging over 29 points per game.
He was first team all district 5-6A last year after he averaged 16 points per game and made 82 3-pointers.
