It’s the battle of Wildcat supremacy when Kennedale (9-2) takes on Paris (8-2) in the Class 4A Division I area round, 7 p.m. Friday from Poe Stadium in McKinney.

First round: Kennedale led 37-0 at halftime. DJ Kirven rushed for 128 yards and 4 TDs, and the defense allowed just 129 yards. Kennedale won the playoff opener for the sixth-straight year and 10th in 11 seasons.; Paris scored a season-high while gaining 545 yards of total offense, led by Dorian Williams’ 208 yards rushing and 2 TDs.
