Justin Northwest captures district title; When was the last time the Texans did that?
Justin Northwest racked up nearly 600 yards of total offense to beat FW Carter-Riverside 71-0 on Thursday night from Northwest ISD Stadium. The win secured at least a share of the district title in 4-5A Division II.
It’s history as the Texans (7-2, 5-0) clinch their first football district championship in 56 years.
Austin Ahmad threw for 240 yards on 8 of 9 passing and 3 TDs, and Montana State commit DeMareus Hosey rushed for 171 yards and 4 TDs.
Four different receivers caught TD passes: Antonio Reese, Quentin Lee, Zavion Taylor and Kiernan Dagger.
The Texans, who already wrap up the No. 1 seed, look to win the district outright when they travel to North Side on Nov. 9.
