WATCH: SMU football coach leaves high school game in style
As I was rolling into Keller on Friday night, one thing crossed my mind...the parking. I had forgot Southlake Carroll and Keller aren’t far apart and that they love supporting their football teams.
So when I arrived to Keller ISD Complex, there was no parking to be seen.
I ended up parking by a nearby church and walking in.
But for someone like SMU football coach Sonny Dykes, that’s not a problem.
Dykes arrived to the Carroll vs. Keller game in style; via helicopter. He was seen leaving Keller from the softball field in amazing fashion. Check out the video for yourself.
Dykes was on scene for the undefeated match-up pitting the 3-0 state-ranked Dragons vs. the 3-0 upset-minded Indians.
There were multiple highly-recruited stars on the gridiron, but we’re pretty sure he came to watch his star attraction, TJ McDaniel.
The Carroll 3-star 2019 running back is committed with the Mustangs.
He put on a show with a season-high 258 yards rushing on 33 carries and scored 5 TDs. Carroll won 58-37.
