Mineral Wells and Waxahachie standouts win soccer players of the week
More than 45,000 votes were cast for the latest dfwVarsity girls and boys soccer players of the week for games Jan. 22-27.
Mineral Wells sophomore goalie Reagan Carter won with 9,574 votes. She made 11 saves in two games vs. WF Hirschi and Saginaw. She recorded a shutout vs. the Rough Riders.

Midlothian Heritage senior Katie Greer came in second with her two goals and one assist vs. Ennis. Azle junior Daisy Tabarez came in third. She recorded nine saves and a shutout vs. Weatherford.
Waxahachie sophomore Jordan Beechum won with 16,296 votes. He scored twice and added an assist Red Oak.
He beat out Keller Central senior Mitchell Peltier, who was named Man of the Match in the Chargers 2-0 victory vs. Arlington Bowie.
