Here is the postgame message KU coach Bill Self delivered to players in the locker room
There wasn’t a whole lot for Kansas coach Bill Self to dislike about the Jayhawks’ 81-65 victory Saturday over Villanova in the NCAA Tournament Final Four in New Orleans.
After the game, Self did identify one area that could have been better: coming off screens to guard Collin Gillespie, who scored a team-high 17 points for Nova.
Self praised the Jayhawks in the locker room following the game, in which KU booked its place in Monday night’s national championship game.
“That was great, but it’s not going to feel like anything like Monday night if we come to play,” Self told his team. “Men, you’re playing for a national championship. The best is still yet to come.”
The Kansas men’s basketball team shared a video of Self addressing the Jayhawks. It included that message about Monday’s game and you can listen to what he had to say here.
