The hottest ticket for March Madness are Saturday’s games at Dickies Arena
Fort Worth has become college basketball’s hotbed this weekend.
No ticket is in more demand than a Session 3 pass for Saturday’s NCAA Tournament games at Dickies Arena.
On the secondary market, the average ticket price is $405 (including fees), according to SeatGeek as of Friday morning. The cheapest available ticket listed on SeatGeek was for $271 (including fees). The cheapest on TicketMaster was $251 (including fees).
The most expensive tickets on SeatGeek were center court seats in Section 123, Row 13 listed for $1,255, a price that SeatGeek deemed a “good deal.”
The other three March Madness sites (Indianapolis, Buffalo and Portland) hosting games on Saturday all have tickets available for less than $100. Buffalo is the cheapest get-in price at $32, according to SeatGeek.
The most expensive site for Sunday’s second-round games is $232 in Milwaukee.
Why is Dickies Arena in such high demand? Well, the city can thank the NCAA’s selection committee for sending two 1-seeds — Baylor and Kansas — as well as blue blood North Carolina to Cowtown.
All three of those schools have avid followings. So does Creighton, the smallest of the four schools but with a strong basketball history.
The Baylor-North Carolina contest is the first game Saturday, tipping off at 11:10 a.m. on CBS. Kansas and Creighton follow with a scheduled 1:40 p.m. tip.
