Needing a kicker since Jonathan Song stubbed his toe two weeks ago and is likely to miss the season opener, TCU appears to have brought one in.

Andrew David, who kicked for Michigan last year, is transfering to TCU, according to a former teammate’s post on Instagram and the player’s Twitter account.

The Detroit Free Press reported the move Monday.

David’s Twitter bio says, “Former Massillon Tiger #CSKTop12-Texas Christian University Football”

TCU has not made an announcement.

Coach Gary Patterson said on Aug. 11 that Song stubbed his toe and was questionable for the season opener Sept. 3. He has declined to name the kickers working behind Song.

David would be the second Michigan transfer TCU has gained this year, joining running back Derrick Green.
