What they said

“Proud of the way our guys battled against a great pitcher. We set ourselves behind the eight ball in the first inning. We battled against Hatch, who is so good and so competitive. I can’t believe how deep in the game he pitched. We had some fortunate things go our way with some balls that weren’t hit so hard. It kind of piled on there at the end.”

-- TCU coach Jim Schlossnagle

We room together, and we always talk about how he is the single-best hitter I have ever seen. When he gets into a ball, though, I get really fired up.

TCU catcher Evan Skoug

on Luken Baker

“He should be able to do that. He is one of the biggest guys I have ever seen on the field. Any time you see him step into a ball, it just gets me fired up. We room together, and we always talk about how he is the single-best hitter I have ever seen. When he gets into a ball, though, I get really fired up.”

-- TCU catcher Evan Skoug, on Luken Baker

“We get a lead there late and felt good about where we were at, but tip your cap to them. Those guys put together one heck of an inning. That was the difference in the game. That was a little more than we were able to overcome in the final two frames.”

-- Oklahoma State coach Josh Holiday, on TCU’s eighth inning
