TCU receiver Zach Allen announced Thursday on Twitter that he is transfering.

He caught one pass last season, having switched from quarterback. He was the holder for field goals and extra points.

Allen, who accounted for 33 touchdowns in nine games as senior at Temple High School, is a junior with two years of eligibility remaining. As a graduate transfer, he can play immediately.

TCU is well-positioned with receivers, having brought in two top junior-college receivers to go along with veterans KaVontae Turpin, Jaelan Austin, Jarrison Stewart, Ty Slanina and Emanuel Porter.

Watch lists

TCU center Austin Schlottman and defensive ends Josh Carraway and James McFarland have been named to watch lists.

Schlottman is on the watch list for the Rimington Trophy for centers. Carraway and McFarland are up for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, recognizing the nation’s top defensive player on and off the field.

Baseball list

TCU catcher Evan Skoug is one of 15 semifinalists for the Johnny Bench award, presented to the nation’s top catcher.

Skoug began a weekend series against Kansas State hitting .302 and ranking third in the Big 12 with 17 doubles.
