TCU’s series opener at Penn State on Friday night was postponed because of weather. A doubleheader is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, with the finale still set for noon Sunday at Penn State’s Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

Freshman left-hander Dalton Horton was scheduled to start Game 1 for TCU. Junior right-hander Brian Howard is the scheduled Game 2 starter for the Horned Frogs, and senior right-hander Mitchell Traver is scheduled to make his season debut with Sunday’s start.

TCU enters 30-12, coming off a series loss in Big 12 action against Texas Tech in Fort Worth last weekend. Penn State is 25-20, having lost a home series to Maryland last weekend.

The teams have never met in baseball. This is TCU’s first trip to the Eastern Time Zone for a non-conference game since March 1-3, 2013, when it played at Jacksonville.

TCU is 10-5 on the road this season, not including a 3-0 record in neutral-site games.
