Luken Baker went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and 11th-ranked TCU scored four runs in the first on the way to a 10-2 victory over Gonzaga in nonconference baseball on Saturday.

The Horned Frogs (8-2) led 7-2 after four innings at Lupton Stadium and evened their series 1-1 against the Bulldogs (5-5). The finale is at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Josh Watson and Elliott Barzilli each knocked in two runs as TCU had 13 hits.

TCU’s Brian Howard (3-0) gave up two runs on five hits in seven innings. He struck out six.

“Obviously, getting four runs in the first inning took some pressure off,” TCU coach Jim Schlossnagle said. “I thought we were consistent with our approach the first half of the game. Overall, it was a team effort and a team win.”

It was the sixth time this season the Frogs did not commit any errors.
