TCU senior guard Zahna Medley is expected to plant her name at the top of the school’s 3-point list Saturday as the Horned Frog women host No. 17 Oklahoma State at Schollmaier Arena.

Medley needs three 3-pointers to pass Jill Sutton’s 296 mark set from 1997-01. A senior from Springfield, Ill., Medley averages 2.6 3-pointers made per game, good enough for second in the Big 12.

Oklahoma State (19-6, 9-5 Big 12), coming off a loss to Baylor, holds the Big 12’s third-best defense against 3-point field goals, with opponents shooting 27.2 percent from behind the arc.

After a 13-point performance in TCU’s 70-44 win at Kansas on Wednesday, Medley needs 61 points to pass Sandora Irvin’s career points record at TCU. If Medley hopes to break the record by senior night, TCU’s regular-season finale against Kansas, she must maintain an average of 15.3 points per game through the last four games.

Medley averages a team-high 15.8 points per game this season.

Oklahoma State counters with senior Brittney Martin, the Big 12’s leader in scoring (20.7), rebounding (11.3) and steals (2.9).

In the teams’ first meeting this season, an 80-52 Oklahoma State win, Martin had19 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 9-for-19 from the field.

TCU (14-11, 6-8 Big 12) is seeking its first three-game winning streak in Big 12 play and its first win over a ranked opponent in nine tries this season.
