The TCU women’s basketball team heads to Kansas todayseeking consecutive Big 12 victories for the first time against the lowly Jayhawks (5-19, 0-13 Big 12).

TCU (13-11, 5-8) beat Iowa State 79-69 on Saturday behind Zahna Medley’s 19 points. The senior scored 24 against No. 4 Baylor on Feb. 10 to earn Big 12 player of the week honors.

With five games remaining, Medley needs 73 points to tie TCU career scoring leader Sandora Irvin’s mark of 1,892 points. Medley leads the Horned Frogs in scoring, averaging 16.0 points a game.

Today marks the first game between TCU and conference cellar-dwelling Kansas, who sits last in almost every statistical category in the Big 12.

Individually, TCU will face the Big 12’s fourth-leading 3-point shooter, Lauren Aldridge, who averaging 2.08 shots made a game from behind the arc. Aldridge averages a team-leading 10.1 points a game.
