The TCU men’s basketball team welcomes Delaware State to the new Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena for a final nonconference tuneup at 7 p.m. Monday.

The Horned Frogs (7-4) are looking to extend a three-game winning streak heading into the season’s Big 12 opener at Oklahoma State on Saturday.

TCU won on the road at Bradley 53-49 in their most recent outing. Their method for doing so would not be endorsed by Naismith, Wooden or whomever.

The Frogs won despite being outrebounded and making only four shots in the second half. TCU shot 18 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes (4 for 22) and, furthermore, missed 16 free-throw attempts during the same span. TCU, however, did get to the line more often and had seven more makes than Bradley.

Point guard Michael Williams earned his fifth straight start and played a season-high 38 minutes.

Delaware State enters 0-12 after losing by 47 to Utah in Salt Lake City on Tuesday.

On the season, DeAndre Haywood is leading the Hornets with 9.9 points per game and shooting 43 percent from the field.
