TCU women’s guard on verge of milestone against Prairie View A&M
One of many individual milestones that will mark senior guard Zahna Medley’s season is in range Tuesday night when the Horned Frogs take on Prairie View A&M at the University Rec Center.
Medley is eight points from 1,500, a feat achieved by 44 players in Big 12 history.
Medley was in position to pass the mark Saturday during the Horned Frogs’ 82-78 loss at No. 12 Texas A&M, but was held to six points, short of her average of 14.0 per game.
“She helps us more ways than scoring,” said coach Raegan Pebley, whose team is 3-1. “She’s really bought into being a better defender. She’s a tremendous leader. She’s really grown into a great locker-room leader for our team.”
Forward Larissa Scott’s 19-point average leads five double-figure scorers for Prairie View A&M (2-0).
