Oklahoma escapes TCU rally, 30-29
TCU’s fourth-quarter rally came up just short when Bram Kohlhausen’s pass was swatted away on a 2-point conversion attempt with 51 seconds remaining, giving No. 7 Oklahoma a 30-29 victory.
Kohlhausen entered the game late in the third quarter with the No. 18 Horned Frogs trailing 30-13. He completed 5 of 11 passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns, including a 14-yard toss to Emanuel Porter with 51 seconds remaining to pull the Horned Frogs within 30-29.
Foster Sawyer, starting at quarterback for the injured Trevone Boykin, struggled to move the Horned Frogs. He completed 8 of 18 passes for 107 yards and a touchdown with three interceptions.
Oklahoma built a 23-7 halftime lead with 17 points coming off of three TCU turnovers.
Oklahoma (10-1, 7-1) rushed for 333 yards, 188 of them coming from Samaje Perine. Joe Mixon had 87 yards on 11 carries before leaving with an injury in the second half.
TCU (9-2, 6-2) was held to 390 yards and punted nine times. Aaron Green led the Horned Frogs with 126 yards on 23 carries.
