First-Quarter Highlight

Josh Doctson strikes again. He went up for another ball in the end zone to reel in his 11th touchdown catch of the season, tying the TCU record he set last year. It gave him five consecutive games with a touchdown reception.

Second-Quarter Highlight

Mike Tuaua’s recovery of a fumble halted an Iowa State drive that had reached the 10-yard line. Defensive penalties had extended the drive twice on third down as the Cyclones were driving for the lead in a 21-21 game.

Third-Quarter Highlight

Kyle Hicks’ 13-yard run finished a touchdown drive on the opening possession of the second half for the Horned Frogs, giving them a two-possession lead for the first time in the game.

Fourth-Quarter Highlight

Trevone Boykin’s 3-yard touchdown run gave the Horned Frogs a 38-21 lead, finally taking the air out of the crowd at Jack Trice Stadium.

Game balls

WR Josh Doctson: Took a hit on a catch, went to the locker room, returned and caught a pass on third down to keep a field-goal drive alive in the second quarter.

QB Trevone Boykin: Completed a season-high 84.4 percent of his passes and threw for four touchdowns as the Horned Frogs totaled 621 yards and won a school-record 15th straight game.

DE Josh Carraway: Finished with six tackles, a sack and recovered a fumble to help keep Iowa State scoreless over the final 45 minutes. The Frogs allowed just 115 yards rushing.
