Boykin gets note of appreciation from Kansas State coach Bill Snyder
Bill Snyder is one of the most respected and liked coaches in college football, and not just because he wins games.
The Kansas State coach also appreciates the effort of his opponents — and demonstrates it.
He sent a note of appreciation to TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin after last week’s game in Manhattan. Boykin ran for two touchdowns and threw two touchdown passes, including the game-winner with 1:10 left, to rally the Horned Frogs to a 52-45 win against the Wildcats.
Boykin posted a photo of the note on his Twitter account.
I have so much respect for Coach Snyder and his Kansas st football team! #LivingLegend pic.twitter.com/An0ANnJgME
— Trevone BoyKING (@OGcURIOUSDEUCE) October 16, 2015Hand-written in purple ink, it reads: “Congratulations again Trevone. Proud of you as a person and leader as well as a great player. Admire your performance and poise in bringing your team back to win our game. Wishing you continued success and good fortune. Please share my congratulations with your teammates. They were excellent in coming back in the second half. Coach Snyder.”
Snyder’s notes are like an award in themselves. Now Boykin has one.
