TCU recap: Horned Frogs rally for 52-45 win at K-State
Why TCU won: Josh Doctson caught a 55-yard touchdown pass, Trevone Boykin scored on a 69-yard touchdown, and Derrick Kindred had an interception return for a touchdown all in the second half as the Horned Frogs rallied from a 35-17 halftime deficit. Doctson’s touchdown catch with 1:10 left was his second of the game and gave TCU a 52-45 lead. Boykin’s touchdown run and the ensuing two-point conversion pass, following a false start, gave TCU a 45-42 lead. Doctson caught eight passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns. Boykin rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Aaron Green added 122 yards and two touchdowns. Doctson had seven catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. The Horned Frogs had to stop a Kansas State offense that controlled the action on the ground, rushing for almost 250 yards. The Wildcats tied the game
Players of the game: Boykin threw two touchdown passes and ran for two. Green had two touchdown runs. Kindred had an interception return for a touchdown. Kansas State quarterback Joe Hubener ran for four touchdowns.
