TCU football projected for fewer wins this season at sportsbook

TCU football has won eight regular-season games each of the past two seasons, but one prominent sportsbook expects the Horned Frogs to take a step back in 2026.

TCU’s win total has been posted at 6.5 at Caesars Sportsbook. The over on the total is heavily favored at -170, meaning a bettor would have to wager $170 to profit $100 on the Horned Frogs winning more than 6.5 games. The under is +135, meaning a bettor can wager $100 to profit $135 on the Horned Frogs winning fewer than 6.5 games.

College football season win totals have not been posted at DraftKings or FanDuel.

TCU went 9-4 the past two seasons including bowl victories, but the season win total wager is only for regular-season games.

The Horned Frogs lost quarterback Josh Hoover to the transfer portal and key seniors — including wide receiver Eric McAlister, safety Bud Clark and linebackers Kaleb Elarms-Orr and Namdi Obiazor — who are out of eligibility and poised to be selected in the NFL draft.

TCU added one of the top quarterbacks in the portal, Harvard’s Jaden Craig, but he is unproven at the FBS level. The Horned Frogs are also installing a new offensive scheme under new coordinator Gordon Sammis.

TCU also appears to face a more difficult schedule this season with games against the top three finishers in the Big 12 — champion Texas Tech, BYU and Utah — after facing only BYU of that group last season.

Here are all the win totals for Big 12 teams for 2026:
