TCU men’s basketball picked up its second exhibition win of the preseason with a 91-72 victory over Texas in a “secret” scrimmage Sunday at Schollmaier Arena.
The Horned Frogs previously beat Tarleton State 88-54 on Oct. 19.
Brock Harding powered the Horned Frogs with 11 points and 13 assists, and five other TCU players scored in double figures.
Jayden Pierre, Xavier Edmonds and Liutauras Lelevicius all scored 12 points each, while sophomore power forward David Punch scored 11 on 5-of-8 shooting.
Sophomore forward Micah Robinson led TCU in scoring with 13 points, added six rebounds and made all four of his field goal attempts. RJ Jones also had a nice showing with three 3-pointers, as TCU shot 9-of-20 from 3-point range.
The Horned Frogs shot 58.3% from the field and had 22 assists with just eight turnovers.
Jordan Pope and Nic Codie led the Longhorns with 15 points each.
The Horned Frogs will open the season vs. New Orleans at 7 p.m. Nov. 3 at Schollmaier Arena. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
