TCU football adds Arlington High standout Deon Mays to 2025 recruiting class
TCU football picked up a late addition to its Class of 2025 with a commitment from Arlington High standout Deon Mays.
Mays originally signed with Utah in December, but was released from his national letter of intent on April 8. Three weeks later and Mays is now apart of the Horned Frogs’ incoming freshman class.
Listed at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds Mays was rated the No. 642 prospect nationally while ranking as the No. 87 player in the state of Texas according to the 247Sports composite rankings, which factors in rankings from all the major recruiting sites.
Mays had 33 tackles, two tackles for loss, two passes defended and an interception in 10 games. Mays also ran track at Arlington and competed in the 4x100 relay, 4x200 relay and the 100m dash with the Colts.
Along with Utah and TCU, Mays held offers from BYU, Nevada and San Diego State among others.
The Horned Frogs already have quality depth at cornerback and Mays should only add to it once he enrolls in the summer.
