The Big 12 women’s basketball awards were revealed. Which TCU star won Player of the Year?

TCU women’s basketball historic season continues with its latest first as point guard Hailey Van Lith was selected as the Big 12 Concerence’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Year and the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year.

Van Lith, a transfer from LSU, averaged 17.6 points, 5.6 assists and 4.6 rebounds while leading the Horned Frogs to their first Big 12 title and their highest AP Poll ranking in school history.

Van Lith was also All-Big 12 First Team and wasn’t the only Horned Frog honored, being joined by Sedona Prince and Madison Conner on the first team.

Head coach Mark Campbell was selected as the conference’s coach of the year in his second season at the helm for the Horned Frogs.

TCU is ranked No. 8 on the AP’s latest women’s college basketball poll and will play next in the Big 12 Tournament on Friday at 1:30 p.m with the game set to air on ESPNU.
