TCU running back Cam Cook enters transfer portal
TCU running back Cam Cook has entered the transfer portal according to multiple reports.
On3 and 247Sports both reported Cook’s entry into the portal on Tuesday. Cook was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2023 and high expectations this season.
Cook was the initial starter at the beginning of the season, rushing for 81 yards and a touchdown against Stanford in the season opener. But the run game struggled overall this season and by the middle of the year Cook began to lose touches to Trent Battle, Jeremy Payne and Savion Williams.
Cook was also recruited by former running backs coach Anthony Jones, who left for USC before the season. Cook finished with 460 yards and nine touchdowns while averaging 3.9 yards per carry.
TCU signed UTSA running back Kevorian Barnes on Tuesday and also incoming freshman running back Jon Denman in the Class of 2025.
