Former TCU Horned Frog Dylan Horton announces cancer diagnosis and remission
On Tuesda,y the Houston Texans and Dylan Horton put out a statement on X, formerly Twitter, announcing the ex-TCU Horned Frog had been diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma on Dec. 1, 2023.
However, Horton announced that he was in remission and thankful for the support given to him.
“I am grateful for the love from my family and friends, and support from the Texans organization and my doctors. My next objective is to complete my treatments, then get back to playing the game I love,” said Horton.
Horton finished his rookie season in the NFL with the Texans after being drafted with the No. 109 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. A Frisco native, Horton played three years at TCU after transferring from New Mexico State.
Horton was an essential part of TCU’s 2022 team that advanced to the College Football Playoff National Championship game.
