TCU to host Indiana State in Super Regional matchup
TCU’s next stop en route to a possible trip to the College World Series will be in Fort Worth.
The Horned Frogs will host the Indiana State Sycamores at Lupton Stadium this weekend in a best-of-three series to determine who will advance to Omaha next week.
The decision to move the games from Terre Haute, Ind., to Fort Worth came after Indiana State announced it could not host the series because of prior commitments to the Indiana Special Olympics.
TCU earned the opportunity to play the Sycamores after sweeping the Fayetteville Region, beating Arizona 12-4 and No. 3 Arkansas twice (20-5 in the second round and 12-4 in the regional championship). The Frogs dominated the Razorbacks in the three times they faced each other this season, beating them all three times and outscoring them 50-15.
TCU has been riding high in its last few weeks of play. The Horned Frogs have won 17 of their last 19 games and are currently on a nine-game wining streak after sweeping the Big 12 tournament and the Fayetteville Region.
Two wins over the Sycamores this weekend will send the Frogs to the College World Series for the first time since 2017.
It will be the first time TCU has hosted a Super Regional since 2017.
The first game in the series will be played on Friday at 4 p.m. The second game will be on Saturday at 5 p.m. and the third game, if necessary, will be played on Sunday.
The games will be aired on ESPNU.
How to get tickets
Reserved and general admission tickets for the series went on sale on Tuesday for season ticket holders. The deadline to request is Tuesday by 5 p.m. Remaining all-session tickets will be on sale to the public Wednesday morning, which are priced at $60 for reserved seats and $45 for general admission.
Single-game tickets will go on sale at 11 a.m. each day.
