TCU Campus Store to host “Purple Reign” book signing prior to spring football game Friday
In conjunction with the TCU Campus Store, the Star-Telegram will hold a signing of its book, “Purple Reign: TCU’s Unforgettable 2022 Season,” prior to Friday’s spring football game at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
The TCU Campus Store is selling the book near Section 234 near the merchandise kiosk prior to and during the spring game.
TCU beat writer Steven Johnson and columnist Mac Engel will sign copies of the book from 5:30 until 6:45 p.m . Kickoff for the spring game is at 7 p.m.
All proceeds go to the TCU Campus Store.
By purchasing the book at the spring game, it will give Horned Frog fans the opportunity to possibly have the book signed by TCU football team members after the game.
“Purple Reign: TCU’s Unforgettable 2022 Season” is a look back at the incredible year through the eyes of the Star-Telegram’s reporters and photographers.
The 160-page hardcover book features the Horned Frogs’ trek to the national championship game. From the underwhelming first half in the season-opening win at Colorado, to the first-half blitz en route to a home rout of Oklahoma, to the beating of Iowa State to complete a perfect Big 12 regular season, to the heart-wrenching loss to Kansas State in the Big 12 championship to the exhilarating victory over Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl.
The book includes stories from every games this season, including the upcoming championship game against Georgia. The book was published by Pediment Publishing.
