Who is Eddie Lampkin Jr., the TCU basketball player who has alleged Horned Frogs basketball coach Jamie Dixon has not treated him fairly.

On Wednesday, Lampkin used his Instagram account to show a text exchange between his mother, Vanessa Dixon, and coach Dixon.

Missed seven games because of ankle injuries. Started 19 of the 24 games he’s played, averaging 6.3 points and 5.9 rebounds.

2021-22 season

Started 32 of 33 games averaging 6.8 points and 62 rebounds. Gained national attentin for his 20-point, 14-rebound game against Arizona in the NCAA tournament. He made 8 of 9 field goals in the game. Shot 60.6 percent from the field, sixth-best percentage in TCU history.

Weight loss

High school career

Was the No. 9 ranked high school player in the state of Texas in 2020 according to TexasHoops.com. Averaged 11.6 points and 10.9 rebounds during his senior year at Morton Ranch High School. Averaged 14 points, 10 rebounds during his junior year.

Who will replace him?

Look for more minutes from Xavier Cork and JaKobe Coles. Cork has started 12 games this season, Coles played well when Lampkin missed games because of injury.

What will he miss?

TCU is playing in the Big 12 tournament this week in Kansas City. On Sunday, the Horned Frogs will find out their seeding and opponent in the NCAA Tournament which begins next week.
