Latest update: What seed will TCU earn heading into March Madness?
March Madness is almost upon us and TCU is expected to handily make the tournament with the only question being what will be their seeding.
The Horned Frogs had an up-and-down season in large part due to injuries to starters Mike Miles Jr and Eddie Lampkin Jr. At full strength TCU has looked like one of the best teams in the country knocking of top-ranked opponents such as Kansas, Baylor and Kansas State.
But, the Horned Frogs have lost five of their last six games which will negatively affect their seeding prospects. TCU has a big game against Texas left on the schedule that could help improve their seeding.
Here is where experts predict TCU will be seeded and every pundit agrees on their seeding.
Joe Lunardi, ESPN
ESPN’s bracket guru has TCU receiving a six-seed ranking in the South(Louisville) Region. The top two seeds in this region are the Alabama Crimson Tide and the UCLA Bruins.
Jerry Palm, CBS Sports
Another six-seed selection for TCU but this pundit put TCU in the Mid-West(Kansas City) region with the top two seeds being the Houston Cougars and Big-12 rival Texas Longhorns.
Andy Bottoms, Inside the Hall
The six-seed seems to be the consensus for TCU and this expert put them into the South(Louisville) region with Alabama and a different Big-12 rival in the Baylor Bears.
Kerry Miller, Bleacher Report
Miller has the Horned Frogs in the West (Las Vegas) region as the six-seed. Miller’s top two seeds for the region are the Kansas Jayhawks, a team TCU has played two nail-biters against, and Arizona Wildcats.
Mike Decourcy, Fox Sports
TCU receives the six-seed in the East(New York) region. The top two seeds in this region are the Purdue Boilermakers and Baylor.
TCU plays next on Saturday, Feb. 25 against the Texas Tech Raiders at 11 a.m. CT.
