National Signing Day: TCU hoping to land top-10 quarterback Jaden Rashada
TCU is hoping to put the finishing touches on its 2023 recruiting class on National Signing Day on Wednesday.
The Horned Frogs currently have the No. 19 recruiting class with 23 prospects already signed along with nine transfers. The only thing missing is a quarterback.
Enter Jaden Rashada.
Rashada is rated the No. 7 quarterback in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and was originally slated to sign with Florida.
Reports of a name, image and likeness deal falling through with a Florida NIL collective led to Rashada reopening his recruitment. Originally from Pittsburg, Calif., Rashada took a visit to TCU’s campus last week and the Horned Frogs are squarely in the mix.
Rashada is an All-American and is viewed to have massive upside as a pro-style quarterback. Arizona State is the other school in the mix for Rashada and also hosted him for a visit.
Another recruit to watch is current commitment Warren Roberson. A four-star safety from Red Oak, Roberson is making a final decision between TCU, Texas and USC. Texas appears to be trending to flip Roberson from TCU after hosting him for an official visit last weekend.
The Horned Frogs have already signed four safeties including three four-stars (Jamel Johnson, Randon Fontenette and Javeon Wilcox).
