TCU selected as No. 1 team in the 2023 Big 12 Baseball Preseason Coaches Poll

The Big 12 released their baseball preseason coaches poll and TCU was ranked as the top team heading into the season.

TCU is coming off back-to-back Big 12 regular season baseball titles and Big 12 coaches project the Horned Frogs are poised for a three-peat.

The Big 12 also released its preseason awards and TCU was well-represented.

TCU junior infielder Brayden Taylor was named Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year and TCU freshman Anthony Silva was voted Big 12 Preseason Freshman of the Year.

TCU had four more preseason honorees: junior relief pitcher Luke Savage, junior relief pitcher Garrett Wright, graduate transfer outfielder Austin Davis and junior outfielder Elijah Nunez were all selected to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team.

The Horned Frogs are scheduled to open their season against No.10 Vanderbilt University at Globe Life Stadium on Feb. 17 at 3 p.m.
