TCU lands top-rated junior college cornerback
TCU has added another commitment to its 2023 recruiting class.
The Horned Frogs landed a commitment from junior college cornerback Channing Canada. Canada is rated the No. 1 JUCO cornerback in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
The 6-foot, 185-pound defensive back starred at Triniy Valley Community College and rated a four-star prospect. Canada took an official visit to TCU earlier this week before committing Thursday afternoon.
Canada held offers from Mississippi State, Arizona State and Washington before deciding to become the 22nd prospect to join TCU’s class.
TCU has two cornerbacks committed now as Canada joins three-star Vernon Glover Jr. as the future of TCU’s defensive backfield.
The Horned Frogs’ class is currently ranked the No. 19 class nationally in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
