TCU cornerback Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson received another prestigious award this week.

The nephew of former TCU star and NFL Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson was named an Associated Press first-team All-American on Monday.

Hodges-Tomlinson won the 2022 Jim Thorpe Award last week as he was named the best defensive back in college football. He also earned All-America honors from the Football Writers Association of America.

The senior earned first-team All-Big 12 honors for the third straight season after only allowing a passer rating of 38.9, which was the best for any cornerback in the Big 12. Hodges-Tomlinson had a streak of forcing a turnover in four straight games.

Pro Football Focus graded Hodges-Tomlinson as the top corner in the Big 12.

Hodges-Tomlinson will look to play a big factor in shutting down Michigan, when TCU faces the Wolverines in the College Football Playoffs. The Horned Frogs will battle Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 31.
