How TCU clobbered Iowa State 62-14 to complete perfect regular season

Star-Telegram sports editor Dave Ammenheuser’s running blog of TCU’s lopsided win over Iowa State to finish its regular season with a 12-0 overall record and a 9-0 Big 12 record.

The Horned Frogs will play in the Big 12 title game next Saturday at AT&T Stadium.

Iowa State finishes 4-8.

TCU 8th possession starts at TCU 20: Horned Frogs march down the field, capping a 9-play 80-yard drive with a 2-yard touchdown pass from Max Duggan to Savion WIlliams. Griffin Kell’s extra point extends TCU’s lead to 41-7. 6:25 left in the quarter.

ISU 9th possession starts at ISU 33: Freshman Rocco Becht enters game at quarterback on the drive. (Starting quarterback Hunter Dekkers injured his non-throwing shoulder on the drive).
