College football pregame shows sure do love TCU games.

ESPN College GameDay announced Sunday it will be in Austin for No. 4 TCU’s ranked battle with No. 18 Texas. The Horned Frogs improved to 9-0 with a 34-24 win over Texas Tech while the Longhorns outlasted Kansas State 31-24 on the road Saturday.

The popular pregame show is hosted by Desmond Howard, David Pollack, Reece Davis, Pat McAfee and Lee Corso.

GameDay’s arrival only adds more stakes to the primetime showdown. The Horned Frogs have a two-game lead over Texas, Kansas State and Baylor in the Big 12 standings. With the Bears and Longhorns still scheduled to play each, a TCU win means the Horned Frogs would lock up a spot in the Big 12 championship game.

It could also be one of the last chances for TCU to add a CFP Top 25 win to their resume. Then of course there’s facing former coach Gary Patterson, who will no doubt try to cook up a defensive scheme that will slow down TCU’s offense.

TCU is 7-1 all-time when GameDay is attendance including their 38-31 win at Kansas earlier this season. The Horned Frogs hosted Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff for the win over Texas Tech this past Saturday.
