TCU star wide receiver Quentin Johnston’s status for the remainder of the Texas Tech game is in question.

Johnston started the game and played a snap or two on TCU’s first possession. He wasn’t in the game on the third down and hasn’t returned to the game late in the second quarter.

Projected as a potential first round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, Johnston leads the Horned Frogs with 42 receptions, 650 yards and four touchdowns. He’s caught a touchdown in four straight games.

Johnston was limited in practice earlier in the week. There’s been no official word on if he’ll return to the game, but Johnston has remained on the sideline with his shoulder pads on and helmet nearby.

The Horned Frogs are tied with Texas Tech at 10 just before halftime.
