TCU remained at No. 7 in both the Associated Press Top 25 Poll and the USA TODAY Sports AFCA football coaches poll.

The Horned Frogs defeated West Virginia 41-31 on Saturday as head coach Sonny Dykes became the first coach in Big 12 history to start his tenure 8-0.

Yet there wasn’t much chaos in college football this year as most teams held serve over the weekend.

No. 6 Alabama and No. 5 Clemson both had bye weeks while Georgia, Ohio State, Tennessee and Michigan also won their games. Tennessee moved into a tie with Ohio State at No. 2.

In two days these rankings will become moot as the first batch of the College Football Playoff rankings will be released on Tuesday evening. The Horned Frogs have a case to be in the top five with four wins over Top 25 teams. Only Tennessee has more with five.

The CFP rankings will be released at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. Will TCU remain at No. 7 or potentially move up a few spots?
