TCU rises to No. 8 in both major college football polls

The TCU Horned Frogs have moved to No. 8 in both the Associated Press Top 25 poll and the USA TODAY AFCA Coaches Poll.

TCU moved up five spots in the AP poll and seven spots in the coaches poll after defeating Oklahoma State 43-40 in double overtime on Saturday.

It’s been a steady climb upward for the Horned Frogs, who were unranked in either poll in the preseason.

The Horned Frogs (6-0, 3-0) host No. 17 Kansas State (5-1, 3-0) on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the fourth consecutive ranked matchup for TCU.

Georgia returned to the top spot in the AP poll and the coaches poll after Alabama fell to Tennessee. The Volunteers moved up to No. 3 in the AP and No. 4 in the coaches poll.
